Fugitive Trevor Scott Hunsicker was nabbed yesterday in an unlikely location - an eatery which is geared to children.

Hunsicker, 22, of Lehighton, was apprehended at about 4:30 p.m. in the Chucky Cheese Restaurant in Whitehall on Saturday on a bench warrant that was issued in mid-November by Mahoning Township police.Coincidentally, a Mahoning police officer happened to also be in Chucky Cheese and recognized Hunsicker.Hunsicker has been sought by police since fleeing an accident on Nov. 10 in Mahoning.Chief of Police Kenneth Barnes of Mahoning Township said there are 10 outstanding warrants for Hunsicker, mostly for failure to appear and for domestic court.Barnes said that on Saturday, Mahoning police officer Dan Long was at the Chucky Cheese along with a deputy from the Carbon County Sheriff's office. Long was off-duty at the time.Long spotted Hunsicker with other people, called Lehigh County Communications, and requested that a Whitehall Township police unit meet him outside the business.The arrest warrants were verified and the Whitehall Township police placed Hunsicker in custody inside the restaurant.Hunsicker was then detained in Lehigh County Prison until picked up Monday by Carbon County sheriff deputies. He was transported to the Carbon County Correctional Facility.Hunsicker was being sought on charges of flight to avoid apprehension and driving while operating privileges are suspended or revoked.The charges stem from an accident which occurred on Nov. 10 along Route 209 at the top of the Mansion House Hill in Mahoning, during which a large amount of debris reportedly fell onto the roadway.Police said while en route to the scene, Jim Thorpe police got behind a Chevrolet and the driver would not yield the right-of-way to officers.The Chevrolet was stopped at the accident scene due to the road being closed by police. The driver of the Chevrolet then exited the car and ran toward a stone wall along the highway. He jumped over the wall and had a drop of 20-40 feet.A passenger in the car identified the driver as Hunsicker.Police were concerned that Hunsicker was injured, so a major search occurred for him which included the use of a state police helicopter.It had been the second time Hunsicker escaped being nabbed by police. On Nov. 5, police were summoned to a township home due to a disturbance and were notified that Hunsicker had been involved. Police also were told Hunsicker had warrants outstanding, but he fled before officers arrived.
