DUI arrests reported

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on two driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by officers recently.

On Saturday, Jan. 15, about 4:48 a.m. officers conducted a traffic stop on Summit Avenue at Fifth St. for vehicle code violations. The driver was identified as Terrence Pressey, 48, of Tobyhanna. Officers detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from Pressy. He did not have a license and provided police with a false name and date of birth. Pressey submitted to and failed field sobriety tests.He was placed under arrest and transported to the Pocono Medical Center (PMC), East Stroudsburg, for a blood test. Pressy will be charged with false reports with the DUI count pending the test results, police said.The second incident occurred on Tuesday, Jan. 18, at 12:20 a.m. along White Birch Drive at Long Pond Road, in Long Pond. Police made a traffic stop for vehicle code violations. The driver was identified as Maximilian Williams, 23, of Long Pond.Police said it was determined that Williams was smoking marijuana and was under the influence. He was arrested and taken to PMC for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results, police added.
