Just before 6:30 p.m. Sunday evening Tamaqua Police responded to a call of a tractor trailer impacting a vehicle at the intersections of Mauch Chunk Street and Pine Street, SR-309, in Tamaqua. While traveling north on Mauch Chunk St, Route 309, a tractor trailer lost a set of two tires after they somehow disconnected from one of the axles. The tires stopped rolling when they impacted a silver Honda Civic which was waiting for the light, faced south at the intersection. No injuries were reported.
