The Schuylkill County Voter Registration/Election Bureau has released a reminder of important dates for candidates planning to run for political offices in the county this year

The 2010 Annual Report is complete as of Friday, Dec. 31, 2010.The filing deadline is Monday, Jan. 31, 2011.Who must file? All candidates, registered political committees that have not filed a termination report must file the Annual Report.The first day to circulate and file nomination petitions is Feb. 15.The last day to circulate and file nomination petitions is March 8.The last day to file objections to nomination petitions is March 15.The casting of lots for ballot position will be held March 16.The last day for withdrawal by candidates who filed nomination petitions is March 23.The last day to register before the primary election is April 18.The Municipal Primary election will be held on May 17.
