Two persons were injured in a one vehicle crash that occurred about 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8, along SR1006 (Burma Road), in Blythe Township, near the Ryan Township line.

State police at Frackville said Norman Mease, 64, of Pottsville, was driving a 1995 Dodge Neon southbound when he lost control while rounding a curve. The car went onto the berm and hit a tree head-on.Mease was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., and his passenger, Jean Hullihan, 53, also of Pottsville, was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-E. Norwegian St., both in Pottsville.Damages were termed heavy to the vehicle.
