Schuylkill woman facing charges

A Schuylkill County woman is facing charges following an incident that occurred in August of 2010.

State police at Frackville said a Mahanoy City couple became aware that their credit cards were being used to make purchases that exceeded pre-set spending limits. They became aware on Aug. 22. They checked their vehicle and found that the cards were removed from it on Aug. 20, when the first purchase was made.The illegal purchases were made at the Hess station in West Mahanoy Township; McDonald's restaurant and Kmart store in the Schuylkill Mall, New Castle Township, Wal-Mart, The Cigar Box and The Game Shop, all in St. Clair, and the Walmart in Rush Township.Surveillance video was obtained and the suspect was identified by Mahanoy City police as Tina Marie Weidenhammer, 23, of Shenandoah. An arrest warrant was obtained and Weidenhammer was arraigned on Friday, Jan. 7, before District Judge Anthony Kilker, of Shenandoah, on charges of forgery, access device fraud, identity theft, and retail theft. She was released on $25,0000 unsecured bail.
