Local police and volunteer firefighters routinely respond to late night or early-morning calls and this morning was no exception in Tamaqua after a small tractor trailer fire broke out behind the Tamaqua Police Station just after 4 a.m. Police officers initially used their fire extinguishers to prevent it from spreading. Firefighters from the American Hose Company also responded and doused the underbody of the trailer with water and foam.
