Two Carbon County men are facing charges for causing damages to a Little League field.

State police at Lehighton said Robert Peter Clarkson, of 1815 Stagecoach Road West, Palmerton, and Chad Robert Mack, 3820 Foreset Inn Road, Aquashicola, were together at an area adjacent to Stagecoach Road and Towamensing Township Little League field in Towamensing Township, on Sept. 28 between midnight and 7:30 a.m.

During this time the two engaged in a physical dispute in which Mack received facial fractures and was shot in the forehead with a BB rifle. In the course of the investigation it was learned that the two were responsible for the damage to lights at the baseball field.

Further, while Clarkson was providing a written statement to investigating troopers at the barracks he became belligerent and smashed a two-way mirror at the station, troopers allege. The damage caused physical injury to Clarkson which required medical treatment at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Charges of criminal mischief and assault are pending against both men.
