Directors Carl Bieling, Carol Dwyer, Stuart Henritzy and Susan Debski were opposed.Director Tina Snyder - the wife of former coach Mike Snyder - abstained from the vote. She could have broken the tie with a yes vote, but declined to do so.The motion was to hire Maholick - who ended this past season as the team's interim coach - as head boys' basketball coach at the rate of $5,901 per the negotiated contract for the 2011-12 school year. After the vote, resident Christine Lesher asked the board what its next step would be to fill the position.
