Historical Society announces "I Spy" winner

The Tamaqua Historical Society and Tamaqua Art Gallery announced David Kern, Tamaqua, as the winner of their I Spy in the Sky Contest. Tamaqua photographer Joe Matukonis, of Photos by Owl Creek Joe, spent a few weeks walking around Tamaqua, looking upward and snapping shots of the beautiful architectural details for the contest. These photographs were the basis for the Chamber's I Spy Contest, which was sponsored by the historical society and art center. Pictured from left are Matukonis, winner David Kern and Society president Dale Freudenberger. Society secretary Linda Yulanavage stated that their were multiple entries, but Kern was the only person to find all 30 photos.
