Legion all-star teams are announced

The Lehigh Valley and Schuylkill-Berks American Legion baseball leagues will compete in an all star game Monday, June 27 at the Reading Phillies' First Energy Stadium.

The 10-team LVL and the 16-team Schuylkill-Berks League will each send 27 players to the event, which starts at 7:05 p.m.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for students and can be purchased through any team managers or at the game. Proceeds from the game will be donated to charity.

Five TIMES NEWS area players will take part in the game.

The Lehigh Valley All-Star team will have three area players. Tyler Harris and Tyler Hill of Northern Valley and Christian Marcin of Coplay were all selected. Harris and Hill played their high school ball for Lehighton while Marcin played at Palmerton.

The Schuylkill-Berks team will have two area players as Tamaqua's Jordan Heisler and Mike Streisel were both named to the squad.
