Rush Township police are investigating a shooting incident in which a bullet shattered a kitchen window in a residence at 135 Wertman road on Sunday at 10 a.m. Police officer Richard Sinton reported that a small child was in the room when the smaller caliber bullet struck the window. None of the residents of the home were injured. Sinton, who canvassed the area, believed the bullet may have originated from a careless person target shooting since a bullet of that caliber could travel a mile.
