The World War II veterans' monument in Summit Hill, located on the property of American Legion Post 316, is being restored by the post. The three-part granite monument has for years included the names of Summit Hill veterans who responded to the call of duty some 70 years ago. Recently, post members removed the bronze plates from the granite in order to have them renovated before they will be returned to their original places as a testimonial to the veterans.
