A number of community organizations in Lansford received multiple donations totaling $3,150 from the Lansford American Legion Post 123, Lansford Sons of the American Legion, and Lansford American Legion Auxiliary during a check presentation held following the Lansford American Legion's annual children's Christmas Party held recently at their post.
The Lansford American Legion Post 123 provided $500 each to the Lansford Ambulance, Lansford Fire Company, and Lansford Police Department. They also gave $250 to both the Panther Valley Public Library in Lansford and the Schuylkill Carbon Marine Corps League's Toys For Tots Campaign. In addition, Lansford Alive and the Lansford Improvement Committee both received $125 from the Legion.The Lansford Sons of the American Legion also gave donations of $200 each to the Lansford Ambulance, Lansford Fire Company, and Lansford Police Department. The Sons also donated $200 to the Schuylkill Carbon Marine Corps League Toys For Tots Campaign and $50 to the Lansford Improvement Committee.The Lansford American Legion Auxiliary and youth also donated $50 towards Toys For Tots.
