State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating a burglary that happened between 5:05 and 9:30 p.m. Dec. 24 at a residence in Polk Township.

The victim is Phyllis V. Wandell, 83, of Kunkletown, who resides along Shafer Drive in the township.Police said someone forced their way into the home through a rear door and once inside proceeded to ransack the entire residence. The actor(s) removed jewelry before fleeing the scene.
