Jeep flips on roof in Lehigh accident

A Quakertown man was uninjured when a 1995 Jeep Cherokee he was driving on Dec. 26 at 3 p.m. crashed in South Whitehall Township.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks said Gregory L. Steich, 19, was driving on the Route 22 eastbound off-ramp to Route 309 southbound at about 35 mph at a time when the roadway was snow-covered and icy.Police said the Jeep began to spin clockwise and then counter-clockwise, traveled about 75 feet southeast, traveled onto the east shoulder of the road for about 60 more feet and impacted a cement barrier. Police said after impact the vehicle flipped onto its roof.Police said the driver will be cited as a result of the crash.
