The Trinity Lutheran Church in Lansford on Friday, Dec. 24 will hold a Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion service at 8 p.m.A regular morning worship service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 26 at 9:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome.Golden AgersThe Panther Valley Golden Agers had as special guests at their Dec. 13 meeting, musicians from Our Lady of the Angels Academy. The 16 students range from grade three to eight. They are under the direction of teacher Tom Dowd.Nine members observing birthdays for the past several months were honored. They were seated around a table decorated in a holiday theme. Nancy Conzoneri and Irene Hudasky were in charge of decorating. Alex Shereba sang the birthday greeting.Hospitality for March and April are Verna Lazorchick and Sue Dopira.There will be no meetings during January and February. The next meeting is scheduled for the second Monday in March.Free dinnerThe free community dinner will be served at the Meed's Methodist Church on Wednesday, Dec. 29 from 5-7 p.m. It will be spaghetti and meatballs.Children's day at McDonald's will be on Dec. 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for children ages 2 to 18.First Baptist Church of LansfordChristmas Eve candle light service will be held on Friday Dec. 24, at 7 p.m.On Sunday Dec. 26, Sunday School will be held at 10 a.m.; Adult Bible Builders at 10:15 a.m.; and Worship and Celebration at 11 a.m.
