An official of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's Traffic Signal Division, Allentown, said if the department receives a request from Coaldale borough to install a traffic light at the intersection of Route 209 and Water Street, the request will be "looked into," but that does not necessarily mean that one will be installed at that site. The council, at its Dec. 17 meeting, backed a petition signed by 543 borough and area residents who called for a light at the intersection.
