A time extension was granted by the Schuylkill County Planning Commission to Eagle Rock Resorts Company, Hazleton, to complete its plans for three subdivisions known as Western Summit South Phases 5, 6 and 7, all located in East Union Township in order to get final approval . The holdup is the developer has not as yet received a construction bond as it required by the commission.

In its monthly meeting held at the courthouse Pottsville Wednesday evening the commission granted final approval to Donald T. Kilner to subdivide 19.6 acres in Barry Township for annexation. The area is zoned Agricultural District.The commission reviewed several projects and had no comment.
