Tamaqua Area High School principal RuthAnn A. Gardiner has announced the Tamaqua Area High School Teachers of the Month for December are Mary Ruth Taylor and Tom Kanger.

Mrs. Taylor has been teaching for 33 years and currently teaches all levels of German.She attended Kutztown University as an undergraduate and graduate. Her hobbies and pastimes include walking, reading, playing solitaire and singing with the special church choir.Mr. Kanger has been teaching for 10 years and is currently teaching Computer Applications I, Accounting I, and Computer Programming I and II.He attended Bloomsburg and Wilkes Universities. His hobbies and pastimes include running (5K to 50 miles) and golf.
