Man electrocuted on Horsehead land

A Bethlehem man was electrocuted Saturday as he attempted to cut copper from a utility pole on the property of Horsehead Industries in Palmerton.

JoJo Sullivan, 30, climbed a pole to cut copper shortly before midnight, when he came in contact with a live wire and was killed, said Palmerton Police Officer Kevin Buck."Upon arrival, the male was already deceased," Buck said. "As far as we can tell, he was attempting to cut copper wire from a pole that turned out to be live."Buck said Sullivan was not an employee of the company, nor was he working for any other company.Palmerton Police were assisted at the scene by Franklin Township police, the Aquashicola Fire Department, state police at Lehighton, and state police R&I, Buck said.
