State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on two crashes probed by troopers that occurred on Schuylkill County roadways earlier this week.

A hit and run crash was reported about 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 6, along SR209, near SR125, in Tremont. Troopers said a vehicle was traveling northbound when the right passenger's side mirror struck the left driver's side mirror of a 2007 Dodge Caravan, parked at the above location. After impact the driver fled the scene north on 209.The second crash occurred about 8:40 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 7, along SR443 in Pine Grove Township. Troopers said Keith R. Lorfink, 35, of Harrisburg, was eastbound while John J. Lyons, 28, of Williamstown, was westbound. Lorfink slowed down to make a left turn into a parking lot and pulled directly into the path of Lyons.The front of Lyon's 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier struck the right front wheel area of Lorfink's 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee.Lyons sustained a minor injury but did not require immediate medical attention.Troopers cited Lorfink for vehicle turning left.
