The Palmerton Area Democratic Club will honor retiring Representative and Speaker of the House, Keith McCall, at their Holiday Dinner and annual meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 14 at 5:30 p.m., at the Fireline Hotel, Bowmanstown.

"After twenty-eight years of serving Carbon County's 122nd District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and the last two years as Speaker, we just want to have an opportunity to show our appreciation to Speaker McCall for all he has done over the years for Palmerton and Carbon County in general," said Club President, Sarina Berlow.Election of Officers for 2011 will also take place.Due to limited seating, reservations and pre-ordering are required for the dinner which begins at 5:30 p.m. with meal at 6 p.m. and the meeting at 7 p.m. Dinner includes soup or salad, entry from wide ranging menu, bread, soda, coffee and dessert. Reservations are due by 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10.The area covered by the Club includes Palmerton, Bowmanstown, Towamensing Township and Lower Towamensing Township. Meetings are monthly, the second Tuesday of the month, September to May, 7 p.m. at the Fireline Hotel, Bowmanstown. Annual dues are due Jan. 1.
