Driver in Tamaqua crash is identified

Tamaqua police have identified the driver of the vehicle that was involved in an accident in the Dutch Hill section of Tamauqa on Saturday morning, Dec. 4. Details of the accident were published on the front page of Monday's TIMES NEWS.

According to the accident report a blue Chevrolet Cavalier was operated by Daniel Peletsky, 29, of 421 Glenwood Ave., Tamaqua, and owned by Kathleen Farber, 47, same address. Actually, the vehicle was involved in three separate, but related, accidents. In the first the car had gone through a guide rail at the intersection of Greenwood and Biddle streets and traveled down an embankment to Schuylkill Avenue. The vehicle ended up against a tree on East Elm Street, near the intersection with Market Street, but not before sideswiping a parked car owned by Catherine Dillon, of 132 Market St.Peletsky was listed as being in critical condition in St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. Charges are pending results of blood tests taken at the hospital, but will include driving while under suspension-DUI related.
