Barnesville man jailed

Arthur Lamont Heckman, 29, of 66 Back Road, Barnesville, was sentenced by President Judge William E. Baldwin to serve two to four years in a state correctional institution effective Dec. 27, at 9 a.m. on sexual assault charges. He shall remain on bail pending his surrender date.On a charge of harassment he was fined $50 and assessed all costs of prosecution. Heckman entered a guilty plea to the charges last Aug. 28 and his sentence was deferred as he was ordered evaluated by the State's Sexual Offenders Assessment Board. Heckman was cited by Trooper Colette Smith in July 2008.Guilty pleaGregory Andrew Taylor, 25, Shenandoah, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless driving and was sentenced by Judge Jacquelyn Russel to pay a fine of $25 and $63.50 in costs. On two counts of stop sign violations was fined $50 plus $127 in costs. He was cited by Chief Shawn Tray, West Mahanoy Township police, on Oct, 19, 2009, in the village of Weston Place.Found guiltyHubert M. Wakefield, 32, Minersville, who was found guilty by a jury of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, was given credit by President Judge William Baldwin of having served 13 days in the county prison and was released on parole for six months and ordered to pay $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account, $289 to Bethlehem Regional Lab, $100 to Substance Abuse Education fund and a $50 monthly supervision fee.. Wakefield was cited by Minersville Patrolman Richard C. Clink, last March 18.Divorces grantedRebecca Marie Sheidy, 45 W. Broad St., Tamaqua, was granted a divorce from Cory Keith Sheidy, 39 Angel Drive, New Ringgold. They were married Aug. 24, 1996.Kristen M. Frye, 3 Foret Avenue, Barnesville, was granted a divorce from William A. Frye, 83 Fairview St., Apt. 1, Barnesville. They were married Feb. 14, 1998.Philip D. Mathews, 109 W. Grant St., McAdoo, was granted a divorce from Tammy L. Mathews, Box 142, McAdoo. They were married March 23, 1997.Scott G. Kunselman was granted a divorce from Debra A. Kunselman, both of Schuylkill Haven. They were married July 21, 1981.Laura Adkins was granted a divorce from James Adkins, both of Cressona. They were married July 1, 1995.Matthew J. Dusel was granted a divorce from Crista Dusel, both of Frackville. They were married May 11, 2002,Michael B. Guigley, Tremont, was granted a divorce from Pamela C. Guigley, Pine Grove. They were married Sept. 20, 2003.Peggy W. Pytak, Shenandoah, was granted a divorce from John B. Pytak, Girardville. They were married Feb. 16, 1999.Revoke probationBrad Alan Eiler, 28, Schuylkill Haven, has his probation revoked by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin and he was re-sentenced on a charge of harassment to serve six to 12 months in the county prison. He shall receive credit for serving 15 days. Eiler pleaded guilty to harassment and last February was placed on probation.
