The Lutheran WELCA group will meet on Tuesday, Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, South Ave. For more information contact Kathy Heller, (570) 325-2282. Following the meeting, the group will be making holiday gift bags for the shut-ins.Touchdown ClubA meeting for parents, grandparents and friends of the Jim Thorpe football program will be held on Monday, Dec. 6, at 6 p.m. in the commons area of the high school. Election of officers for the Touchdown Club will be held at the meeting, as well as the planning of the awards ceremony.Toys for TotsToys for Tots registration will be held this weekend, Dec. 3-4 and next weekend, Dec. 10-11, at the Salem Bible Fellowship Church, Mahoning Valley. The program is open to children up the age of 12, and up to 14 for special needs children. If you have questions about the program contact Ed at (570) 325-2408. The distribution of the toys will take place on Dec. 18, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Salem Church.
