Thanksgiving dinner

For those who are lonely or have no family to be with, Effort UMC is hosting its 5th Community Thanksgiving Dinner, Thanksgiving Day, beginning at 2 p.m. Offered will be a full dinner with all the trimmings.Family NightSt. Peter's UMC will hold Family Night on Sunday, Nov. 28, the first Sunday of Advent, beginning at 5 p.m. Dinner is potluck and the church will be decorated after dinner and clean up.Thanksgiving recessPleasant Valley students will be on Thanksgiving recess from early dismissal Wednesday, Nov. 24, through Monday, Nov. 29. School resumes Tuesday, Nov. 30.Chamber SingersThe Chamber Singers of Philadelphia Biblical University will present a free Christmas concert at Mount Eaton Church, Saylorsburg, at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4.
