A Lansford man is being cited by Tamaqua police for allegedly repeatedly violating a "no contact" protection from abuse (PFA) order.

Police were notified of the incidents at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday when Brandy Knauss, of 410 Hazle St., reported receiving dozens of harassing phone calls from Douglass C. Knauss Jr., 36, of 23 W. Ridge St., Lansford. Ms. Knauss does have an active PFA order against the caller. While she was reporting the harassment Knauss called again and was advised by Cpl. Henry Woods to desist making additional calls.Instead of heeding the officer's advice Knauss made a half dozen more calls later that same day. He will receive a summons by mail for violating a protection from abuse order.
