Burglary, theft incidents probed

A burglary and theft incidents have been probed recently by state police at Lehighton.

The break-in occurred at the residence of Suzanne J. Livingston, 44, who resides along Pohopoco Drive, Lehighton, Towamensing Township, Carbon County. Unknown criminals gained entry and removed a sterling silver set and various jewelry, The incident occurred sometime between 10:10 p.m. on Nov. 10 and 12:30 a.m. on Nov. 11.Brittany Bailey, 23, of Kresgeville, reported her purse was stolen from the bar area while she was in the Beltzville Bar & Grille, located in Towamensing Township. The purse contained her ID, credit cards and Iphone. The theft was reported at 1 a.m. on Nov. 4.The unlocked Kia Sedona van of Lisa Dunn, 49, of Forest Drive, Saylorsburg, Monroe County, was stolen from in front of her home and later found abandoned along Chestnut Drive. The van was unlocked and the key was in the ignition. The incident occurred sometime between 9 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, and 4:30 a.m. on Sunday.The car of a 16-year-old Palmerton teen was entered while parked at the Palmerton Area High School in Lower Towamensing Township, sometime between 8 a.m. on Nov. 10 and 3 p.m. on Nov. 11. Taken was about $3 in U.S. currency and two packs of cigarettes.Troopers also reported that various jewelry itmes were recovered from a wooded area along Blue Ridge Road in Ross Township, Monroe County, on Saturday, Nov. 13, about 10:37 a.m.Anyone with information on any of these incidents is asked to call troopers at (610) 377-4270.
