A massive Iraq display consisting of hundreds of war, cultural, and various other Iraq artifacts covering more than nine tables was held Friday and Saturday to the public in the chapel at the Tamaqua Salvation Army.

The items were mailed or brought back from Iraq by war veteran Marine Sgt Andrew Leibenguth, Tamaqua, during his initial year-long tour in Iraq from 2003 to 2004.Some of the many items in his collection consist of Iraq money, stamps, clothing, books, newspapers, jewelry, large rugs, paintings, US and Iraq military items, cigarettes, kids toys, Qur'an/Kuran, cultural artifacts, photos, as well as many other educational and miscellaneous items.Leibenguth stressed that he used all his "available" time to purchase and mail all these items home, as the Iraqi people were always selling items on the side of the road and at other locations in Iraq.Since his return from Iraq, Leibenguth, who was medically discharged after an injury in Iraq, routinely volunteers his time displaying his immense collection and giving presentations at churches, schools, and other various institutions.Leibenguth encourages local organizations or schools to call him at (570) 668-1234 or via email at
