Woman jailed on multiple charges

A Northampton County woman was jailed on multiple charges following an incident that occurred in Monroe County.

State police at Lehighton said about 7:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9, Maria Ruth Haddock, 42, of Bethlehem, arrived at the residence of her estranged husband at 7334 Golden Eagle Driver, Ross Township, in an intoxicated state. She began a verbal and physical argument with her husband and threw a picture frame at her son, troopers allege.She was restrained by her husband until troopers arrived. She was taken into custody and charged with criminal trespass, simple assault, harassment, driving under the influence (DUI), operating a motor vehicle without an ignition interlock system and operating a motor vehicle without an ignition interlock with a blood/alcohol content greater than .25 percent.Haddock was committed to the county prison in Snydersville, troopers added.
