The Pleasant Valley School District is celebrating its 50th Anniversary with events throughout the 2010-2011 school year.
One of the ways it is celebrating is with Alumni Tours.The Pleasant Valley School District will hold tours of the high school and stadium complex. The tours will run for approximately one half-hour and be centered on a program that will highlight the growth, expansion, and renovations of the high school over the past 50 years.The tours will be conducted by student members of the SADD organization and the Student Government on Thursday, Nov. 18 from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday, Nov., 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. They will meet in the high school auditorium. The tour will include the gymnasium, library, band room, garden, new auditorium, science and technology facilities, and (weather permitting) the new stadium.A presentation will be made each hour on the hour highlighting the growth and expansion of the high school and school district over the past 50 years.They are encouraging all alumni who would like to see the facilities to join us for these tours.
SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS Alumni of the class of 1985 toured PVHS on Friday, Oct. 22. "It was so enjoyable to see and talk to so many past graduates," said PVHS principal, John Gress.
