A daughter, Kailyn Elizabeth Smith, was born at 9:18 p.m. on Oct. 12, 2010 at the Lehigh Valley Health Network, Allentown, to Vanessa and Jeremy Smith of Lehighton.

She weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces and measured 20 inches long. She was welcomed home by her older brother, Wyatt, 3.Maternal grandparents are Linda and Marty Klotz of Lehighton. Paternal grandparents are Cindy and David Smith, also of Lehighton.Maternal great-grandmother is Mildred Miller of Lehighton. Paternal great-grandparents are Thelma Smith, Lehighton, and Gladys and Orville Wehr of Andreas.
