A Tamaqua driver was involved in a one vehicle crash in Walker Township. State police at Frackville said Anthony T. Weisacosky, 68, was driving a 2005 Jeep Liberty westbound on Mountain Road about 2:32 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle left the road and struck a utility pole and several small trees. Weisacosky, who was trapped in the vehicle for a short period of time before being extricated by Tamaqua Rescue Squad personnel, was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-E. Norwegian St., Pottsville, by New Ringgold ambulance for evaluation, troopers said. Two passengers, Sally Weisacosky, 61, and a five-year-old male, refused medical treatment. Also assisting troopers at the scene were volunteers from the Walker Township Fire Company and Pottsville EMS unit.
