A vehicle stop by members of the Pocono Mountain Regional police led to the arrest of a person wanted on a warrant.

Police said about 12:01 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 1, officers stopped a vehicle along SR196 at Seven Nations for an expired inspection sticker. Inside the vehicle was a Steven Hakeem Williams, 21, of Tobyhanna.A check revealed that Williams had an active warrant for his arrest issued in Monroe County for failure to appear. He was taken into custody and placed in the county prison in Snydersville.The original charge against Williams is false indentification to law enforcement.
