One hot dog for the cause

Dan Procita of Kresgeville buys a hot dog with sauerkraut from Vicki Kistler, a physical therapeutic exercise specialist at West End Physical Therapy's 1st Annual Community Day and Chili Cookoff to help raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. West End Physical Therapy's co-owner, Steve Lazicki, said it was a great day with a great turnout. The idea was that of physical therapist Melissa Hager, to raise funds for her participation in the Walt Disney World Goofy Challenge marathon in 2011. They raised $2,100. "It was a great day. The people of the community kept telling us how nice it was. I'm overwhelmed and in awe of the support we received from the community," said Melissa. The Chili Cookoff winners were: Judge's Choice was Lois Siemsko and People's Choice was Fred Rivera.
