Collecting used eye glasses

Lehighton Area Lioness Lions Club are collecting used eyewear and hearing aids as a service project. Collection boxes are located at Lehighton High Rise, First Street; Jim Thorpe National Bank, Fourth Street; PNC Bank, First Street; Mallard Market, Second Street; Dr. Hawk's Dental Office, Third Street; Dr. DeMatte's Chiropractic Office, Interchange Road;, Wachovia Bank, Interchange Road; and Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital Lobby, 12th Street. In addition, you may package your old eyeglasses and mail them to: Lions Clubs International Headquarters, Attn: Receiving Dept., 300 W. 22nd St., Oak Brook, IL 60523.Donors may also bring eyewear or hearing aids to club events. This support group is for men and women who may have a problem, are grieving, lonely or sad, or just need someone to talk to.Refreshments served.
