They were married March 29, 2008.Slip and fall suitRobert Greene, 303 White St., Weissport, filed a civil action against Thomas and Cindy Green, 211 Park St., Weissport.The suit states on Sept. 6, 2009, the plaintiff was walking on the sidewalk at 211 Park St., when he was caused to fall due to a defect in the sidewalk which caused injuries detailed in the suit.Negligence is alleged against the defendants and sought is damages in excess of $50,000.Borough suedTeamsters Local 773, 1345 Hamilton St., Allentown, has filed a civil suit against the Borough of Nesquehoning, 114 W. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, over the termination of an employee.The suit states that on Dec. 15, 2009, the borough suspended employee David Harrison. Then on Jan. 21, the borough terminated Harrison's employment.The suit states under the terms of a collective bargaining agreement signed between the borough and the Teamsters Local 773, there is a procedure for filing a grievance and arbitration.The suit states that the parties were unable to resovle the matter and on Feb. 18 the union, through its attorney, requested the state Bureau of Mediation supply a list of arbitrators under the bargaining agreement, to address the matter.The union alleges the borough failed and refused to agree to arbitration and refused to participate in the process of selecting a arbitrator as per the bargaining agreement.The court is asked to enter an order requiring the borough to submit to arbitration of all issues concerning the termination of Harrison and to award the plaintiff reasonable costs and fees.
