Today marks the 10th anniversary of Sweet Treats and Party People, 108 E. Broad St., Tamaqua. It will also be the last anniversary. Linda Yulanavage, who built the business, has decided it's over. Dec. 31 will be its last day. She said there are two reasons for the closure. One is the pending of graduation of her son, Eric, who is studying drafting and will likely move away to find employment. The other is the pending national health care bill, which she believes will be devastating for small businesses.
