Woman struck by vehicle prior to Halloween parade

The condition of a woman struck by a vehicle prior to the Northern Lehigh Halloween Parade on Saturday is unknown.

Contacted this morning, Slatington Borough Police Chief Dave Rachman confirmed that a female was struck by a vehicle as she crossed a street before the parade started.However, Rachman was unable to provide any other information such as the woman's name, age, address, or condition as of press time because the investigation continues.More information will be shared once it's available, said Rachman, who added that all the details of the incident should be known as of this afternoon.The 103rd annual parade formed at South and Main Street in Slatington. Streets in the boroughs of Slatington and Walnutport were closed to traffic.
