A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 9:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26, along SR611 at SR940 in Mt. Pocono.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said Steven Napoli, 73, of Mt. Pocono, was stopped for a traffic violation after he failed to dim hit high beams and also failed to stop for a red traffic signal at the intersection. He was also traveling about five-miles-per hour at the time, police said.Napoli was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test.The DUI charge is pending test results.
