The first annual Float Parade in conjunction with a Homecoming Pep Rally was featured at the Panther Valley High School.
Floats consisted of: Student Council Float with Homecoming candidates, Nightmare Before Christmas (JROTC), Candyland (board game), Supporting Breast Cancer "Barbie Girl", PVHS Hag Wagon PVHS Band, Claw the Spartans, JROTC, 400 lbs of Coaldale Pride - It's Halloween in Coaldale, Root Beer Float, JROTC School Spirit, Team Honor JROTC, We Support the Pink -Breast Cancer battle, Swmming Float PVHS Swim team.The parade was well received by the student body. Props used were wheel chairs, small riding toys, wagons and grocery carts.
CAROL ZICKLER/SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS First place float at PVHS Panther Valley High School held its first annual Homecoming Float Parade in conjunction with a Pep Rally at the school on Friday. Thirteen floats competed for a prize. The first place winner was the PVHS Hag Wagon with the PVHS Band as the occupants. Seen are Greg Danchak, in wheel chair, pulling a grocery cart with Jeremy Thomas, Tyler Suzadail, and Stephen Romanchik.
