A Summit Hill driver was injured in a rear-end crash in Rush Township.

Township police said Catherine A. O'Donnell, 37, was driving a 1993 Subaru on SR309 about 12:50 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29, when she ran into the back of a Kenworth tractor-trailer rig at the intersection with SR54 (Hometown intersection).The rig was stopped for a red traffic signal, police said.O'Donnell was flown by helicopter to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for facial and other injuries, police said. Police did not identify the driver of the rig.Assisting police were volunteers from the Hometown Fire Company, Quakake fire police, Tamaqua Rescue Squad, Tamaqua ambulance and Lehighton EMS unit.The investigation into the crash is continuing.
