Monroe arrests

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on two driving under the influence (DUI) and also a drug arrests, all stemming from vehicle stops.

About 2:45 a.m .on Sunday, Oct. 24, officers on patrol observed the driver of a Nissan Altima commit vehicle code violations. A traffic stop was made and the driver identified as Steevn Gonzalez-Rosales, 23, of Tobyhanna. He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.About 12:45 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 25, officers conducted a traffic stop along SR196 near Tab's Tavern, in Tobyhanna, Coolbaugh Township, for a vehicle code violation. The driver was identified as Andrew Walter Cevallos, 23, of Tobyhanna.He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then transported to PMC for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.On Oct. 21 about 2:15 a.m. officers conducted a traffic stop along SR940 at Sullivan Road in Tobyhanna Township for a vehicle code violation. The driver was identified as Derek Tucker, 18, of Long Pond. A further investigation revealed Tucker had in his possession marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was placed under arrest, charged with the drug violations and later released.
