State police at Frackville reported investigating two crashes along Schuylkill County roadways that occurred on Monday, Oct. 25.

Troopers said a crash occurred about 8 a.m. along Morea Road in Mahanoy Township. Troopers said Dennis J. Kazmerski, 60, of Kingston, was driving a 2009 Hyundai Genisis westbound when the vehicle left the road and struck a tree along the north berm. Kazmerski claimed another vehicle entered his lane of travel and he tried to avoid a collision. He sustained a minor injury but did not require immediate medical attention. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.Troopers cited Kazmerski for driving on roadways laned for traffic.The second crash occurred about 9:21 p.m. along Interstate 81 in New Castle Township. Troopers said Jodiann Kelleman, 23, of Dupont, Luzerne County, was northbound in a 1995 Honda Passport when she lost control in a rain storm. The vehicle traveled into the center median rolling over once and coming to reset in the median.Kelleman and her passenger, Felecia Clapps, 18, of Exeter, Luzerne County, sustained minor injuries. Troopers said while investigating the crash it was determined the vehicle did not have sufficient tread on its tires.Troopers said Kelleman was cited for an equipment violation.
