State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a one vehicle crash that occurred about 8:51 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 25, along State Road near Lake Road, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said Maria Sorrentino, 21, of Effort, was driving a 2003 Dodge Neon eastbound when she lost control. The vehicle left the road and struck an embankment and then overturned onto its roof. The car continued to travel on its roof for about 20 feet before coming to rest on its roof in the eastbound lane.Sorrentino sustained a army injury in the crash but troopers did not indicate if she required medical attention. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
