Three local boys teams and two girls teams have qualified for this year's District 11 tournament.

After running through the regular season with an 18-2 record, the Pleasant Valley boys' soccer team was given the No. 3 seed in the District 11 AAA soccer tournament.The Bears lost the MVC championship to Pocono Mountain East in penalty kicks last Thursday. Furthermore, they have not won a district playoff game since 2005. The Bears will play their first-round game against No. 14 seed Pocono Mountain West at home on Wednesday.In the AA bracket, both No. 5 Tamaqua and No. 6 Northwestern will be on the road this Thursday.
