Cyclist facing DUI count after crash

A motorcyclist is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a crash. State police at Lehgihton said the accident occurred about 8:36 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 17, along Trachsville Hill Road, in Towamensing Township, Carbon County.

Troopers were attempting to stop a motorcycle for several motor vehicle code violations when the driver attempted to flee. The driver crashed the bike and was apprehended.The driver was identified as Keith McInaw, 50, of Pocono Pines. He was injured and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for treatment. The DUI charge is pending completion of the investigation, troopers said.
