A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 2:20 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16.

State police at Frackville said troopers were dispatched to a vehicle stuck on an embankment along Old Route 209 in Schuylkill Township. Upon arrival troopers found Frances Ann Nazar, 54, of Middleport, in a 2003 Ford Explorer that was stuck in the mud. She was found to be under the influence.She was transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending.
