A Schuylkill County driver was injured when he was ejected from his vehicle when it crashed. The accident occurred about 3:25 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16, along SR924 in East Union Township.

State police at Frackville said Christopher John Augun, 22, of Sheppton, was driving a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound and failed to negotiate a left hard curve. The Jeep rolled over several times before going onto the west berm. The Jeep then came to rest against a tree about 20 feet down an embankment.Augun was ejected from the vehicle. He was flown by LIfeflight helicopter to the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, for treatment of a head injury but was later released.Troopers said Augun will be charged with driving at an (un) safe speed and failure to wear a seat belt.
